    • Contingency: Grant-funded position, with anticipated 3.5 years remaining. The position is contingent upon available funding.

Responsibilities and Duties

    • Identify opportunities for online IT programs of study among NM’s 2-year colleges
    • Facilitate the development of online IT programs of study among existing HED partners to early college high schools, as needed
    • Collaborate with the EEDW ECHS Coordinator to facilitate students’ access to online IT programs and support services
    • Convene and lead an HED Work Group with representatives of partnering HEDs addressing IT program topics
    • Collaborate with HED partners to ensure quality support services for students in online IT programs of study
    • Collaborate with EEDW ECHS Coordinator on outreach to ECHS students regarding options for higher education and/or continued training
    • Track student enrollment and persistence in HED following high school graduation
    • Identify and mitigate difficulties with credit transferability among HEDs for students in online IT programs
    • Maintain records and collect data relevant to implementation of student access towards HED degrees and certificates and industry-recognized certificates
    • Accept other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the supervisor

Navajo Language Facilitator Contract Opportunity

REC-1 is seeking to contract for a Navajo language instruction facilitator through our WKKF-funded project, CNDL (PR# P0132562), to assist in the initial implementation of the “Plan for Creating and Deploying a Navajo Dual Language Curriculum.” This will be a 7-month (August–February) contract position responsible for setting up meetings and events with school-based Navajo language instructors and district curriculum administrators across the Four Corners region; assisting Navajo language teachers with identifying and acquiring instructional resources; and for facilitating (but not providing) contracted review of the REC-1 Navajo Language Instructional Framework and on-site coaching for Navajo language teachers in the Bloomfield School District. Some travel will be required. Office space will be provided if needed. The contractor will fulfill responsibilities under the supervision of the REC-1 executive director.

Compensation: $5,500, paid in equal installments by invoice.

Early Childhood Education Contract Opportunity

REC-1 is seeking to contract for an Early Childhood logistics facilitator through our WKKF-funded project, CNDL (PR# P0132562). This will be a 7-month (August–February) contract position that will be responsible for setting up meetings with school-based and private early childhood educators, organizing and facilitating several mini-conferences for early childhood practitioners, identifying instructional resources, and setting up professional development events. Some travel will be required. The contractor will fulfill responsibilities under the supervision of the REC-1 executive director.

Compensation: $6,500, paid in equal installments by invoice.

      • Bachelor’s degree or greater in an education-related field

CLIA Contract Opportunity

Closed

REC-1 is seeking to contract with one or more persons to conduct site compliance visits for school sites included in our CLIA Certificate of Waiver. Visits will occur virtually and will last 15 – 25 minutes per visit. Contracted individuals will be trained in the site review process. The contractor will be paid $50 per site visit (not including potential follow-up visits to re-review initially non-compliant conditions), plus a daily rate for a full day of compliance review training. The contracted site visitor(s) will serve under the direction of the REC-1 CLIA coordinator. The schedule of visits may be occasional and inconsistent, requiring flexibility for the time commitment.

Required Credentials Include the Following:

          • Bachelor’s degree or greater in an education-related field
          • 4 or more years conducting compliance monitoring for education-related services at multiple school or district sites
          • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
          • Strong skills with email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
          • Facility with and access to video conferencing technology, whether on a mobile device or computer.
